“No Turning Back” A show to Flip the Senate!
It’s 2020, and everyone is focused on the presidential race. Rightfully so, because we must defeat the current occupant of the White House.
But we also MUST flip the Senate. And we only need four seats to do it.
That’s why we started 2020 with our show No Turning Back: a storytelling show about turning points, and no turning back points. All ticket sales went directly to Swing Left’s Senate Funds to support their 2020 super state strategy (similar to the one that helped flip the House in 2018). The event raised over $7100 in ticket sales for Swing Left.
Featuring an all-star lineup of storytellers and activists, including Paola Mendoza (Women’s March), Sandi Marx (7X Moth Winner), Kevin Allison (RISK!, High Maintenance), Andrea Coleman (BET, All Rise), Liuba Grechen Shirley (Vote Mama), City Councilmember Brad Lander, Swing Left's Head of Product Ruby Anaya; and music by Broadway composer Shaina Taub (Resistance Revival Chorus).
