Our Vision

What is Art, Humanity & Action?

Born in response to the 2016 election, Art, Humanity & Action is a series uniting storytelling, activism, and fundraising. Each event features prominent storytellers and activists sharing stories on a theme, accessible calls-to-action from related organizations, and one main financial beneficiary. (See a running list of AH&A partners here.)

The goal of Art, Humanity & Action is to use personal storytelling to inspire unity and compassion, elevate voices, spur action across a range of issues, and raise awareness and funds for marginalized groups and communities.

Our Team

Founder and Director

Nicole Ferraro

Nicole is a storyteller and writer. She created the Art, Humanity & Action series in the divisive days following the 2016 election, partly as a way to get out of bed; and moreover, in an effort to use personal storytelling as a vehicle to inspire action and change, and to raise money for organizations fighting the hardest under the current administration. She is grateful to all of the performers, partners, and friends who've helped bring AH&A to life and raise thousands of dollars for communities and causes.

As Digital Producer for Art, Humanity & Action, Jeff handles all aspects of website design and development and podcast production. He further advises on the live shows and does whatever he can to support the organization's mission and advocate for positive change.
